4 Stars. This book is a lot of fun. I like how some bad things happen but no one is really the bad guy. Most of the main characters are real and you really care about the ones you are supposed to like.

November Surprise was a bit of a surprise. I do not read romances very often and I shy away from anything political, but this book was a lot of fun. I think what I was most impressed with was how the author captured Lucy's growth over the course of 20 years. She was believable as a teen and believable at 38.

5 Stars. I thoroughly enjoyed by Lani Diane Rich. The main character, Wanda, is hilarious. She is flawed. She has issues. She has the courage to change. I love classic chick lit stories with happy young people who have perfect friends and parents, but sometimes it is nice to read about someone who is insecure, sassy and troubled within the framework of a fun chick lit novel. I love how Wanda realistically goes through a process of change that takes time and effort. She doesn't completely become a new person, but as cliche as it sounds she re-discovers the happier, more confident person inside of her.

4 Stars. is the second book in The Secret Keeper series. The book picks off where the last one left off, with former party girl Peyson and her minister finance Brice about to tie the know. Peyson went through a lot of heartache in book 1 but things seem to be looking up for her as she begins the book on her honeymoon with her new love. Until... well I don't want to spoil it.

4 Stars. is a very sweet, entertaining story about a workaholic who falls for a commitment-phobe, not the best combination. The main character, Nikki, is not only a woman who sacrifices everything for her job but also has the habit of choosing "safe" men that don't really inspire her. She meets and falls for a man who is passionate and who she can be passionate about, but for several reasons he resists. I found there was a lot of truth to this story about how commitment-phobes will lead people on, fall for people but then pull back, and make up lame excuses for why they cannot give in to someone else (you will just love Ricardo's excuse, hilarious).

3 Stars. is a book about a girl named Sophie who is blind sided by her boyfriend Brandon who just announces out of nowhere that's he done and kicks her out of their apartment. Sophie decides she needs answers and is relentless until Brandon confesses that he cheated on her. As if that isn't bad enough, Sophie discovers two of her friends betrayed her. .
